Jr High Lock-in

We will be having our third Annual Jr High Lock-in on Friday, January 15th. Students are asked to bring a friend that evening. This is one of the students favorite evenings. We will have pizza, soda, games, underground church, movie, and a time of spiritual challenge. They will also be fed breakfast on Saturday morning. It will start at 7:00 pm on Friday and go till 8:00 am on Saturday morning. Oh and did I mention we will not be sleeping. Plan now to attend.

Winter Retreat 2010

Winter Retreat is coming soon. We will be going back to Camp Timberlee in Wisconsin. We had a blast last year even though there wasn't much snow we still were able to tube, sledding, skating, and the famous Broom ball tournament. The cost will be around $100 per student so start saving your money. We are going the end of February this year.

Youth Group Cook Book Sale

Cook books are now on sale to help raise funds for the fall retreat coming up in October. The cost is $12.00 per book. All students are encouraged to sell the books so we need everyone to sign up for a time at the table.

Fall Retreat 2009

The next big event coming up is going to be the Fall Retreat in Carlinville. Last year we had a great time with lots to do. You will not want to miss this year. So mark your calendar for October 30 to Nov 1, 2009. The cost is $100 per student and there will be opportunities to earn that money. Plan now to attend.

Back to School Bash

The entire youth group is invited to the Back to School Bash on August 15th. We will be having the event at our very own Building 924. Everyone is asked to invite a friend to come for a fun evening as we get ready to go back to school. There will be food, Fun, and games. There will also be a time of worship and bible study. You will not want to miss this event. See you there!

Six Flags Trip

Peoria Chiefs Ball Game

Students
We will be going to the Peoria Chiefs ball game on July 8th. We will be joined by the High School you group as well. We will leave the church at 6:30pm and return around 10:00pm. Cost per student is $9.00. That will get you in the gate plus feed you a hot dog, chips and soda.

Cedarville "Newsong"

No youth group this week. Cedarville College will be at Cornerstone for a concert. We will be in that service starting at 7:00 pm. Come and bring your family.

Welcome incoming Junior High Students

Promotion Sunday for Junior High will be May 31st this year and we will be welcoming the 6th graders into Junior High. Look for additional information.

8th Grade Graduation Activity

Sunday May 17th the 8th graders will be having and activity to celebrate graduating into High School. This will be their final activity in Junior High. Plan now to attend. We will be going out for pizza and then off to Towerline Speedway to have some fun.

Timber-Lee's WinterXtreme Feb 27 - Mar 1

This years Winter Retreat is at Camp Timber-Lee in Wisconsin. A limited number of Students will be able to go. So sign up soon. We will be joined by a number of youth groups from all over the Midwest. Our speaker will be a nationally known speaker and there will be a worship band there as well. There are a number of activities; creation walk, broom ball, field games, game room, hay maze, snow shoeing, tobogganing, and tubing to name a few. Hope to see you there.

Dinner & Movie night Feb 7th

The Jr. and Sr. High youth groups will be hosting a dinner and a movie (Fireproof) fundraiser Feb. 7Th 2009. The fundraiser is to help the Jr. High pay for their winter camp. There is a sign up sheet being passed around for the youth to sign up to help with this event. It is our hope that parents will help donate the food items. There is a sign up sheet for this as well. Every student is encouraged to participate even if they are not going on the trip. If you have any question please call the church office.

Yes we are still having a Lock In. Remember to bring a friend. Lots of fun planned so don't miss it.

Winter Jam Concert

Junior High youth group is going to Winter Jam Tour Friday January 23rd at the Peoria Civic Center. The cost at the door is $10. Come listen to all your favorite Christian musicians. Those interested in going need to let a youth leader know.

at 7:00pm till Saturday 8:00am

What to bring: Liter of soda and a large bag of snacks to share.

Bring video games and board games.

Junior High Lock-In
